An Oropharyngeal Airway (OPA) is a medical device used to maintain an open airway in unconscious patients by preventing the tongue from blocking the throat. It is inserted through the mouth and positioned over the tongue to keep the airway clear, especially during CPR, anesthesia, or emergency ventilation with a Bag Valve Mask. OPAs are commonly used in hospitals, ambulances, and emergency care settings.
